Scott & Jones Latin and Meiklejohn Grammar
Self-Paced Video Courses

While live classes are usually the best option, not everyone can fit them into their family's schedule or budget, or perhaps your student is not a fan of live classes and you know he would not thrive in that setting. These courses are the next-best option, and are great for parents to use as "pre-reading"

to prepare the week's lesson for their children, for older students to watch and work through independently, or for parents and students to work through together each week. The office hours included in the "Firmamentum" option offer an opportunity to ask specific questions or receive encouragement for the journey as you progress.

SELF-PACED: This option offers a video series that walks students through year 1 of either Scott & Jones's First Latin Course or Meiklejohn's Short Grammar (with parsing and diagramming taught alongside). Using the teaching videos and the answer keys provided (on the CMEC website), as well as exams on the CMEC program, parents and/or students work at their own pace and on their own schedule. All assignments and exams are checked by the parent.

Scott & Jones Year 2 Latin is now available! 

Meiklejohn Grammar Year 1 is now available!

Firmamentum: With this option, the video series walks students through year 1 of First Latin Course by Scott & Jones or Meiklejohn's Short Grammar (with parsing and diagramming taught alongside). Weekly assignments are laid out, but are checked by the parent using the provided answer keys (on the CMEC website). Viva Voce provides office hours upon request for asking questions and getting clarification. Parents reach out to Mrs. Bucko to schedule as needed. 

Exams are provided, turned in, and graded by Magistra/Mrs. Bucko, each term. This option is still self-paced. ​​
